Die dunkelpinkfarbenen und gelb marmorierten Blütenblätter bilden eine außergewöhnliche Farbkomposition. Mit einem Blütendurchmesser von etwa 15–25 cm erinnern die pomponartigen Blüten an fein gearbeitete Textilien.
