Nelumbo ‘No. 7’

Nelumbo ‘No. 7’ ist ein großwüchsiger Lotos aus eigener Selektion, entstanden aus der Kreuzung der Sorten The President × Chawan Basu. Nach mehrjähriger Erprobung hat sich diese Sorte als stabil, leistungsfähig und zuverlässig erwiesen und wird nun erstmals angeboten.

Die Pflanzen entwickeln einen kräftigen Aufbau und benötigen ausreichend Raum. Für eine optimale Entfaltung empfehlen sich Pflanzgefäße ab 65 Litern Volumen. Die Blütenblätter sind angenehm rund und löffelförmig ausgemuldet, was der Blüte eine ruhige, harmonische Wirkung verleiht.

Ein besonderes Merkmal ist der Blütenstempel, der bereits beim Öffnen einen dezenten grünen Ton zeigt. Die Sorte ist samenbildend.

Nelumbo ‘No. 7’

Nelumbo ‘No. 7’ is a large-growing lotus from our own selection, resulting from a cross between The President and Chawan Basu. After several years of evaluation, this cultivar has proven to be stable, vigorous, and reliable and is now being offered for the first time.

The plants develop a strong structure and require sufficient space. For proper growth and flowering, containers with a minimum volume of 65 liters are recommended. The petals are pleasantly rounded with a spoon-shaped curvature, giving the bloom a calm and well-balanced appearance.

A distinctive feature is the receptacle, which already shows a subtle green tint at the moment of opening. The cultivar is seed-producing.
