Nelumbo ‘Lotusland Rose Apple’

Nelumbo ‘Lotusland Rose Apple’ ist eine eigene Züchtung, die im Jahr 2018 benannt wurde. Anlass war die volle, kugelige Blütenform, die an eine sich öffnende Rose oder einen Apfel erinnert und der Sorte ihren Namen gab.

Die schweren Blüten stehen auf festen, stabilen Stielen deutlich über dem dunkelgrünen Laub. Mit einer Wuchshöhe von etwa 80 cm zählt ‘Rose Apple’ zu den mittelgroßen Lotossorten und bleibt gut kontrollierbar.

Für eine zuverlässige Entwicklung und gute Blühleistung empfiehlt sich die Pflanzung in Gefäßen ab 40 Litern Volumen. In dieser Größe kann die Sorte ihre Blütenform und Standfestigkeit optimal ausbilden.

Nelumbo ‘Lotusland Rose Apple’

Nelumbo ‘Lotusland Rose Apple’ is an in-house bred lotus variety, named in 2018. The inspiration for its name came from the full, spherical flower shape, reminiscent of an opening rose or an apple.

The heavy blooms are carried on firm, sturdy stems above the dark green foliage. Reaching a height of around 80 cm, ‘Rose Apple’ belongs to the medium-sized lotus varieties and remains well manageable.

For stable growth and reliable flowering, containers with a minimum volume of 40 liters are recommended. This allows the plant to fully develop its flower form and strength.
